Words can hardly describe how I felt yesterday when I submitted that final exam paper (which was definitely the most challenging one I've had this year - Biochemistry). My mind was in fact, blank. And for the next hour or so, I would suddenly phase out and stare blankly between minutes. It was kinda weird. And my friends were pretty much the same. So it was kinda funny too.
At any rate, I recovered speedily after taking some food. Then it was time for some fireworks. The 5th of November is traditionally celebrated as the Guy Fawkes' Night in most Commonwealth countries including New Zealand. Guy Fawkes, a fella guarding explosives which were supposed to be used to assassinate King James the First that night was arrested and the plot was overturned. So the people of Britain lit up bonfires around London to celebrate and remembered this day as a day of thanksgiving (information gotten from Wikipedia). There's quite a lot more history but I'll leave you to find out more for yourself HERE if you're interested.
Here, fireworks become legal for one week. So last night, we lit up the sky as a celebration for the end of exams and first year. It was very pretty, very loud, and very smelly. Fun.
I didn't take any photos because I was lazy and feeling extremely cold. The wind was mad as yesterday.
Then we hung out at a friend's place and made cinnamon rolls!
Sorry, presentation is a little crappy here.
Do you know something really awesome about exams (what?!)? It's an avenue for blessings to pour down. People give all sorts of stuff to encourage you to keep going. I take it as God's way of saying, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you." And I'm thankful for that.
Because it helps. It seriously does.
My wonderful friend made egg tarts.
And definitely, the prayers of family and friends.
Thank You, Lord.
=)
