He's been so faithful each step of the way, each day of tedious study. And He continues to be. He drops random (or maybe not so random!) words of encouragement through the littlest things. There was one particular day last week when I was feeling so exhausted and had to read my Bible - that beautifully precious book, and there it was:
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." - Psalm 73:26
Funnily enough, I was studying cardiology that day, and the word 'heart' actually made me laugh out loud. Because I couldn't help but think about how a low venous return would lead to low cardiac output and the heart would need to pump at a higher rate as a result of the baroreceptors in the aortic arch detecting the change in pressure and....so on. *sheepish grin* OH HEY I STILL REMEMBER what I studied last week! LOL. So random. But the point is that I am weak, but He is strong. And since the heart is what needs to keep working to keep us alive, God being the strength of that, will keep us going not just during exams, but FOREVER. Do you realise what 'forever' is? It's forever! Endless! Eternal! Whoa.
*stunned*
And not just the strength of my heart, but also my portion. Like how those lyrics go.
You are my supply,
my breath of life.
Still more awesome than I know.
My supply. My portion. More than enough. And He can be yours too, if you'd let Him. =)
(Oops, I typed waaay more than I intended to. Now back to study liao. Haha)
I like this statement very much: "And since the heart is what needs to keep working to keep us alive, God being the strength of that, will keep us going not just during exams, but FOREVER. Do you realise what 'forever' is? It's forever! Endless! Eternal! Whoa." Brilliant!
